A common practice of travel in the early 1900's (1920's to 1940's) was for the hotels visited to provide an attractive labels advertising their location and give these to guests or place them on their luggage. Tourists would welcome these as badges of honor and to show where they have visited. In many cases these labels are all that remains. This label is from the Louxor Hotel in Luxor, Egypt and features giant ancient Egyptian sculptures.
